Our company holds a full Health and Safety Executive (HSE) license, allowing us to carry out asbestos-related work across the United Kingdom. We uphold strict standards in asbestos disposal and are committed to continuous improvement. Our story

Established in 2007 and reborn 14 years later, for nearly 20 years we’ve been at the forefront of asbestos removal and decontamination, delivering safe and compliant solutions to business right across the UK. Here’s how our story unfolded…

2007

Company formation

Safe Strip UK Limited was officially incorporated as a private limited company in England and Wales. and obtained an HSE licence to undertake work with asbestos.

2021

Business acquired by Peter Loughran

Following 14 years under its original ownership, Safe Strip was acquired by our current Managing Director, Peter Loughran, a highly respected asbestos removal professional with more than 20 years of experience.

2022

ISO accreditations achieved

Safe Strip achieved ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 accreditations for asbestos abatement services.

2023

Yorkshire office opened

Part of a strategy for long term growth, in 2023 Safe Strip opened an office in Yorkshire. Peter Adams was appointed Regional Director for the area.

2023

Sunderland office relocated

Thanks to the company’s continued growth and development, our Sunderland office was relocated to larger and more modern premises.

2024

Shaun Nesbitt appointed Director

Working out of our new Sunderland office and heading up our North Eastern division, Shaun Nesbitt was appointed North East Regional Director.

2024

Essex office opened

Our third new office in less than 12 months, in 2024 Safe Strip headed south, opening up yet another regional office, this time in Essex.

Safe Strip brand refreshed

17 years after Safe Strip brand was born, in 2024 we took the decision to refresh our brand, rejuvinating our image and setting the stage for even further growth over the coming years.

2025

Safe Strip management made members of AMI

Five of our senior managers become members of the Asbestos Management Institute, the professional body for the asbestos management industry, recognising and promoting best practice in asbestos management.

2025

Workforce hits 40+ employees

Following 4 years of steady but continuous growth, the Safe Strip team tops 40 members.

We’re currently working towards PAS 2030 accreditation, ensuring our services meet the highest standards for energy efficiency and compliance.

Contaminated Soil Disposal
